A
POTY Event
IMP
Pairs Game
Come experience the scoring system
used in the prestigious Cavendish event…
-
IMP Pairs is
a Pairs Game event with IMP scoring
-
Beginning November
9, then December 14, January 11, February 8, March 8,
April 12…
-
Unit game payout
on Master Points.
An
IMP Pairs event is played like a regular pairs event,
but
is scored in a totally different way.
-
A basic score
is set for each board - an average of all the scores compiled
on that board.
-
ACBL Score
eliminates the top and bottom scores before the average
is taken so that extreme scores will have less impact
on the average.
-
Then your score
is compared with the average and translated into IMPs,
as if you were playing in a Swiss Team event.
-
If you bid
and make your games and slams, overtricks and undertricks
don’t carry as much weight as in a Matchpoint Game.
